Hello Kitty Themed Restaurant Opens

The first Hello Kitty Themed restaurant has opened in Shanghai in Mainland China. The restaurant will serve cat shaped food and a drink. The cafe is split across to floors with a gift shop and huge models of the famous cat to pose next to. Most of the food and drinks in the restaurant are Hello Kitty shaped, including hamburgers, and cakes. Although this restaurant is the first one of its kind in Mainland China, a Hello Kitty restaurant already exists in Hong Kong.

New Zealand's New Internet Cable

New Zealand is to get a second undersea internet cable link to the United states. The 14,000 km cable will be running by mid 2018. The cable will link New Zealand, the United States via Hawaii, and Australia, and would compete directly with the Southern Cross cable, which is half owned by Spark. It is expected to cost about $500 million dollars for you to use.                                                              Kiwikids News

Hide - And - Stuck

An 11 year old girl was playing hide and seek with her cousins and thought that the washing machine was a perfect place to hide in, until she found her self stuck. 

Hiding in the washing machine she kept her hidden throughout the game but after she realized the game had ended. After the game she couldn't get out her mum helped her and also her aunt but they couldn't get her out so they called 911.

Digital Art

Last week we tried digital art and made an artwork using sumo paint. This shows how well we can use the internet to draw with Sumo-paint. When we started we had to find an artwork to get ideas from it and then we had to open a new tab with Sumo-paint. 

Before we started drawing we had to look for the right online tools to use so our artwork can look fantastic. When I started I thought that it didn't look right for me so I started again on a new one.I had to start with the big curls then the little ones in the middle. Next I drew some zig zags in the inside of the big curls and the big curls. It reminds of the Maori patterns you see in meeting houses.

With Room 12

On Wednesday we had to go in to room 12 because our teacher was gone with the softball team to play against other schools. When we were in room 12 we first had to read a book and wait until we went to tech.

When we got there we had to get in to a line of year 7 in room 11 and year 7 in room 12. The year 8's had to get in a line and go to cooking class and the year 7's in room 12 went to craft class and the rest of us from room 11 went to metal class.

Saturday Morning

I had to wake up early in the morning and put on my gardening gloves and go help my dad with the gardening at the back yard. Before I went to help him I had to brush my teeth and wash my face. When I herd my dad calling I rushed down and said I'm here to help. Finally I got a time to help my dad for the first time with out my mum calling me to come and get something for her.

When me and my dad had done some of the gardening we went inside for a cup of tea. We then had a little rest then went and finished off our gardening. I had to pull out the weed and my dad was on the other side planting in some new flowers. When he finished he came to my side and helped me pull out the weeds. After I finished pulling out the weeds I had to mow the lorn.
