chinalandslide
A landslide has happened at the site of a hydropower project in southern China after days of heavy rain. Rescue teams have recovered 34 bodies while 4 people are still listed as missing. "We were asleep when the mountain began to jolt very strongly and before we knew it, sand mixed with mud were floating into our room," survivor Deng Chunwu told the official Xinhua News Agency. Their rooms were filed up with mud and sand up to 10 metres. More than 600 rescuers, including firefighters and police, were searching for the missing and attempting to clear sections of roads leading to the site.
