French forest fires threaten cities

forest fires

Wildfires in southern France have forced people to flee their homes and are threatening the country's second largest city, Marseille. About 1800 firefighters are fighting the blazes and are creating a firewall to try and protect the city. Hundreds of children and adults have been evacuated from their homes in the town of Vitrolles, about 25km north of Marseille. Some homes in Vitrolles have already been destroyed.
